As founder of WeDesign Hawaii in 2022, I have discovered the agility to pursue the kind of work I am most passionate about. The ultimate quest is to design with a purpose—a mission to achieve client goals with visuals that align to a message.

I journeyed to this place after more than two decades as Co-partner and Creative Director of Mozaic, a corporate design firm in Honolulu. Our clients included Hilton Hawaiian Village, the largest hotel, retail, and restaurant complex in the Hilton chain as well as one of largest hotel complexes in the world; Bank of Hawaii, the State’s largest locally owned bank; and Kamehameha Schools, one of the largest private trusts in the United States.

My design career started at Belt Collins, an international architecture firm in Honolulu. Subsequently I worked as a graphic artist for the City and County of Honolulu, working closely with Division Heads. Then I worked for Hill & Knowlton, a global communications company, where I collaborated with clients in the hotel and resort, real estate, education, and government industries.

When I’m not contemplating design, you can find me renewing my spirit while stand-up paddling and sharing the ocean with
Honu—our friendly Hawaiian sea turtles!

"The House in Mill Camp"
(my family history flipbook)
This is my family history book which I designed and published with the help of my cousin, Lot Lau and sister, Lei Ann Shiramizu.
Please feel free to click on the cover image of the book and then peruse through the pages which cover our familyʻs origin story and life on the plantation during the first half of the century.

Note: This flip book will be bettered viewed on a desktop computer. However, if viewing on a mobile device, I would recommend rotating to a horizontal mode to get the full-page spread effect.

Mahalo!
